Open up opportunities with HPE.Job Description:We are seeking a Senior Networking and Cloud Developer able to design and develop software on both Cloud and Networking devices, to contribute an end-to-end solution. The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.The Senior Cloud Developer brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.The Cloud Developer also provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.Responsibilities:Provides guidance and leadership to design and develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portions or subsystems and advise on dealing with high-risk situations.Identifies and evaluates new technology innovations to ensure alignment with the technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.Provides mentoring to others to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.Analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.Typically, 8+ years’ experience.Knowledge and Skills:Strong programming skills in C/C++ and one of Python, Golang or JavaDeep expertise in software systems design, development methodologies, and integration across diverse platforms and technologies.Proficient in cloud-based security concepts like using identity and access management, firewalls, VPN, and in-plane switching systems.Demonstrated abilities in designing robust and scalable applications both in Embedded Networking and CloudFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD environmentHistory of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in software design.Knowledge of Cloud Platforms - Kubernetes and Docker containers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.What We Can Offer You:Health & WellbeingWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.Personal & Professional DevelopmentWe also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
