• Oversee services provided to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other conditions. Home care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and respite.
• Home Care Supervisors ensure that employees deliver services in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.  (Spanish Speaking Preferred)

Reporting Relationship

• Reports to Branch Manager

Qualifications/Education

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license.
• Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage
• 2-5 years of experience in home care, healthcare, or case management (Preferred, not required)
• Experience supervising staff (Preferred, not required)
• Knowledge of Illinois department of aging (IDoA) programs is highly preferred (Preferred, not required)
• Experience with Medicaid waiver programs or managed care organizations (MCOs) (Preferred, not required)

A successful home care supervisor should understand:

• IDoA regulations and provider requirements
• Care planning and service coordination
• Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
• Documentation standards
• HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• Illinois home care worker program requirements
• Incident reporting and abuse/neglect reporting
