Pharmacy TechnicianJoin our dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you'll play a vital role in supporting medication distribution for both inpatient and outpatient care. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, values precision, and is passionate about patient safety and care.What You'll DoAssist pharmacists in preparing and delivering medications accurately and efficientlyMaintain inventory systems including Pyxis stock and CII SafeRepackage medications and support unit dose systemsPerform monthly medication checks to ensure quality and complianceClean and disinfect the pharmacy clean room per established protocolsCommunicate effectively with healthcare providers and patientsUphold safety standards and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Maryland Board of Pharmacy, USP 795/800)Participate in continuous process improvement initiativesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (required)Previous pharmacy technician experience (preferred)Registered Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technician (required)National Certification (preferred)Must obtain Maryland license within 30 days if licensed in another stateProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPointStrong understanding of medical terminologyPhysical & Mental RequirementsThis role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and fine hand/eye coordination.
