Enjoy a challenging role in a fast-paced environment.Job DescriptionDirector of Accounting OverviewThe Director of Accounting will oversee all corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.Lead a dynamic team, providing guidance on technical accounting, tax, and revenue recognition processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance accounting policies and internal controls.Manage external auditor relationships to ensure efficient audit completion and compliance.Drive initiatives to improve business processes and support organizational growth.Provide expert guidance on accounting matters, including mergers and acquisitions.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting systems and ledgers.Work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company’s financial success and compliance.Director of Accounting Key Responsibilities & DutiesOversee general ledger, consolidation, technical accounting, tax, and cash management activities.Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.Provide technical guidance on GAAP, tax, and statutory reporting regulations.Manage and monitor accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems for compliance.Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team through coaching and performance evaluations.Collaborate with other departments on accounting-related initiatives and questions.Account for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring accurate financial integration.Identify and drive projects to enhance business processes and support.Director of Accounting Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Accounting or related field required; CPA or Master’s preferred.Minimum of 10 years of combined public and private accounting experience.Expertise in SEC reporting, compliance, and international accounting practices.Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and influence teams.Proven track record of implementing new systems and solutions.Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.Experience in finance leadership within a multinational organization.Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high degree of accountability.
