Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-time travelers accepted License: GA or Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience floating to medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU units - Familiarity with Epic charting system - Ability to manage a variety of patient diagnoses Description: This is a FLOAT POOL POSITION. Candidates must have experience in float units, flexible scheduling, and the ability to adapt to different patient ratios. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Key responsibilities include providing care for those in medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU diagnoses. The nurse will float to all medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU units within the facility. The typical patient ratio is 1:4-5 in PCU and 1:5-6 in medical-surgical/telemetry. Weekend coverage is required, averaging six weekends in a 13-week contract. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during the assignment period; if there are three major holidays, two must be worked. Full compliance is required before starting. Candidates must complete all pre-employment requirements in a timely manner.
