Knowledge of project management concepts and system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. Knowledge of business process analysis, process improvement, and workflow design techniques. Knowledge of requirements gathering documentation, testing, and implementation practices. Skill in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business, functional, and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, meetings, and stakeholder collaboration. Skill in preparing business requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, process maps, workflow diagrams, and other project documentation. Skill in coordinating technology projects, tracking deliverables, monitoring milestones, identifying risks, and supporting project implementation activities. Skill in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications that support application development and technology solutions. Skill in analyzing business processes, workflows, and technology capabilities to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, standardization, and practical, cost-effective solutions. SPECIAL NOTES: Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year. Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. : The Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS), Office of Information Technology, is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Business Analyst to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. This onsite position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise technology initiatives that enhance government services and improve outcomes for the citizens of Florida. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical staff to identify business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements, ensuring that proposed solutions align with organizational objectives and business priorities. The successful candidate will facilitate meetings and workshops, promote collaboration among cross-functional teams, and support business process improvement initiatives. You will also participate in system testing, implementation activities, and the development and maintenance of project documentation to ensure successful project delivery.
