Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill MIG/TIG Welder positions for a Manufacturing company in Sparta, TN. This is a Temp-to-Hire job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications

• Join metals, alloys, and fabricated parts using appropriate welding techniques to produce high-quality welds

• Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting the proper materials, wire, shielding gases, and settings for each job

• Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and compliance with quality standards

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication

• Perform basic grinding, finishing, and preparation of welded parts as needed

• Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Assist with additional fabrication and production duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):

$18.00 - $19.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift

Monday – Friday

5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Possible Saturdays as needed.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience required

• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings

• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and proper use of PPE

• Ability to accurately measure materials using tape measures and other measuring tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, as production demands require
