Jackson and Coker is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens 24-hour call coverage in Central Alabama. This role involves covering the ED/call schedule, working alongside a newly trained fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon. The position requires approximately 7-10 days of coverage per month to support the existing team. Practice Info Current staff includes 1 CT Surgeon Inpatient APP support + first assist Level 3 Trauma Center Cerner EMR Approximately 280 CV Surgeries annually Responsibilities Cover the ED/call schedule Provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage Work alongside a newly trained fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon Offer guidance as needed when working alongside the staffed Surgeon Compensation ~ Top Rated Malpractice Insurance Benefits ~ In-House Travel Agency Shift & Schedule ~ Seeking around 7-10 days per month of 24-hour call coverage ~ Orientation to be scheduled the morning of your first shift ~7am 7/16 - 7am 7/22 ~7am 9/4 - 7am 9/8 ~24-hour inpatient call coverage only Requirements Active Alabama license required Board Certification or true Board Eligibility required Must be willing to work alongside new surgeon & offer guidance as needed (when working alongside of staffed Surgeon)
