Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high-quality care.

Position Summary: The Mental Health Tech provides direct care to children, adolescents and adult patients with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well being of the patients in the Admissions/Assessment area.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Patient Observation and Monitoring
• Facilitating Therapeutic Groups
• Conducting Searches and Securing Contraband
• Assisting with Daily Living Skills
• Patient Behavior and Milieu Management
• Documentation in the Patient Record

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting
• CPR (May be acquired after hire)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Teamwork

Hours: Night Shift - Thursday - Saturday 7 PM - 7 AM
