Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with a diverse caseload of students in a supportive educational setting. This position serves primarily preschoolers, with additional responsibilities for some middle and high school students across three schools on two sites. Start as soon as possible and continue through May 28, 2027, making a meaningful difference in students’ communication and academic success.

Applicants holding their Alabama SLP or SLPA credentials and experience within educational or healthcare environments are encouraged to apply. The caseload consists of 55-60 students, the majority of whom receive related services, while direct case management duties will be focused on a core group of eight students. The schedule consists of 37.5 hours spread over 5 days each week, offering consistent hours and a balanced workweek.

Candidates with knowledge of IEPs and special education practices will thrive in this collaborative environment, supporting students at various developmental stages.

Qualifications:

• Valid AL SLP or SLPA license required
• Experience with pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP/SLPA roles preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and special education beneficial
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Clinical Fellowship applicants (CFY) are welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy services primarily to preschoolers, with some middle and high school cases
• Maintain documentation and manage files for a subset of 8 primary cases
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings as needed
