About the Job:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join A Hug Away Healthcare ! In this role, you will help patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities, all within the comfort of their homes. You will guide patients through personalized treatment plans, provide encouragement and motivation, and ensure safety during all activities. You will also document accurate patient progress, set up necessary equipment, and maintain a safe, supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, works well independently and with a team, and brings positivity and encouragement to patients as they adjust to changes in their health and daily living routines. This candidate would be agreeable to seeing patients in the Cleveland, TX area.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in performing daily living tasks, functional exercises, and mobility activities while ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Review and administer individualized treatment plans developed for each patient.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care, treatments, and progress.
• Provide training on the safe use of adaptive equipment, mobility aids, and home modifications.
• Offer encouragement and support to patients and families during the recovery and adjustment process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) (required).
• 1+ year of home health experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and able to foster a supportive environment.
• Familiarity with Kinnser/Wellsky EMR a plus.

Pay: $150-180 per visit for 60 visits.

Schedule:

• Flexible.
• PRN.
