Custodian - Part Time

CustodianThe Custodian is responsible for keeping assigned plant in clean and orderly condition to ensure the buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.Essential duties and responsibilities:Gather and empty trash binsGather and empty paper recycling boxesClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuumingService, clean, disinfect and supply restroomsDust furniture, walls, machines and shelving throughout plant(s)Clean all windows, walls and mirrors throughout plant(s)Strip and seal all tile floors on a bi-yearly basisSnow or debris removal as neededFixture sandblasting as neededFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixturesNotify managers concerning the need for repairs to cleaning equipment or building operating systemsRequisition supplies and as needed through supervisorMust be willing to travel to both plants as needed, occasional weekend and overtime work requiredOrganize custodial closets and spacesAssist with 5S throughout the plantsExemplify Fullerton Tool Company Core ValuesOther relevant tasks as assigned by supervisorQualifications/Education/Skills:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.Must be able to read, write and understand EnglishPrevious custodial experience preferred.Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritizeReliable attendance and punctuality.Integrity - can trust this person to be truthful, honest and ethical.Equipment Used:Including, but not limited to: mops, manual floor scrubbers, vacuums, sprayers, laddersWorking Conditions:Some work is performed in close proximity to large machines, and some is in the office area.Subject to noise; exposure to dust, fumes, and oils; handling of chemical cleaners.Physical Requirements:Manual dexterity is required as well as pushing and pulling functions.Ability to lift objects up to 50lbsMust be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.Manual dexterity is required as well as pushing and pulling functions.Must be able to position oneself and move under/around/over equipment.
