Tax Intern

Assist in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns Support quarterly and annual accounting tasks that feed into tax preparation Help review prior returns and documents to gather and organize missing information Record tax data accurately and identify potential connections across entities Assist in calculating quarterly and annual estimated tax liabilities Participate in basic tax planning discussions and projects as appropriate Communicate with internal team members to clarify data or document issues Contribute to team projects and participate in learning opportunities and training sessions Perform other duties and take on varied responsibilities assigned by firm leadership Meet agreed-upon targets supporting individual performance and firm productivity Requirements Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Basic understanding of accounting and tax principles, with interest in expanding knowledge Strong attention to detail and accuracy in working with numbers and documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn tax preparation software Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and seek feedback to improve work Availability to work part-time or full-time during the internship term, with flexibility during peak deadlines Core Competencies Demonstrates a foundational understanding of accounting and tax principles while effectively assisting in tax return preparation and accounting tasks.
