School Social Worker

In this role, you'll provide counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy for students with autism and related disabilities while partnering with families and staff to help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.You'll work in a supportive, collaborative environment where your expertise is valued, your ideas are encouraged, and you'll have ongoing opportunities for professional growth—all while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students and their families every day.What You’ll DoAs a School Social Worker, you'll play an essential role in supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral success by:Providing individual and group counseling services based on students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Conducting social work assessments and developing goals to support student growthParticipating as an active member of the IEP team while collaborating with educators, therapists, and related service providersSupporting students during crisis situations through assessment, intervention, and post-crisis planningBuilding strong partnerships with families by providing guidance, resources, and ongoing communicationCoordinating with hospitals, community agencies, local school systems, and outside providers to ensure continuity of careAssisting families with accessing school and community resources that support student successSupporting student admissions and onboarding by participating on the intake committee and reviewing referral informationDeveloping school-wide initiatives that promote students' social-emotional developmentProviding professional development and consultation to school staff on best practices in social-emotional learning and behavioral supportsAssisting with required documentation, Medicaid requirements, and student service recordsTraining & SupportWe provide CPR certificationWe provide Professional Crisis Management (PCM) trainingOngoing support and guidance from supervisorsWhat You BringLicensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) requiredAt least two years of social work experience, preferably in a school, nonprofit, or special education settingExperience providing counseling and crisis intervention servicesKnowledge of special education processes, IEPs, and student support services preferred.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsA passion for supporting students with autism and developmental disabilitiesBenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with company contributionsGenerous Paid Time Off + Paid HolidaysTuition ReimbursementCompany-paid Life & Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramReady to Make a Difference?If you're looking for more than just a social work position—and want to be part of a collaborative team dedicated to helping students thrive—we'd love to meet you.Apply today and help make a lasting impact on the lives of students and their families!Note: This does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an “at will” relationship. #J-18808-Ljbffr Linwood Center Inc
