IRG Realty Advisors (IRG RA) provides comprehensive commercial real estate solutions for entrepreneurial owners/investors, corporations, institutional, and governmental clients. Currently, the largest management services company headquartered in Ohio, our portfolio has over 100 million square feet of assets in 31 states. The profile includes Commercial Office & Retail, Industrial, Warehouse, Multi-Family properties, and Land properties.

As an Advisory firm, our approach is to connect all the elements that can affect the performance of a commercial real estate investment and bring those together into a cohesive strategic recommendation of value enhancement. This is accomplished with an eye toward each step of the real estate life cycle, from acquisition to repositioning to stabilization to exit planning. Through our independent yet coordinated service lines, IRG RA advises our clients on Property and asset Management, Transaction Management, Development Services, Project Management, Consulting, and Facility Management.

Job Summary
The Property Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of commercial real estate assets. This position maintains the books and records for a portfolio of approximately 1012 properties, encompassing all ancillary accounting functions related to those assets.
Essential Duties
- Review and analyze property management financial reports across individual assets within the assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate with property accountants, banking personnel, and property managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee and execute cash management functions.
- Record, reconcile, and maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual client financial reports.
- Compile and prepare annual audit and tax work papers in support of external reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all asset-level bank accounts.
- Calculate and prepare statements of cash flows in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 23 years of accounting experience, preferably within the commercial real estate industry
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of variance analysis, including actual-to-budget comparisons
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with MRI software is a plus
