Duties Position requires supervision of Jail to Work program including but not limited to, being responsible for administering and overseeing all clinical and therapeutic functions of the Jail to Work Program. Teamwork and the ability to work at both an individual level and as a team is required. Position requires coverage for case managers, residential counselors, as needed. Duties within the program change on an ongoing basis so flexibility is essential. Summary of Position Primary responsibilities of the Jail to Work Team Leader include supervision of case managers and residential counselors in the Jail to Work program including administering and overseeing all clinical and therapeutic functions of the Jail to Work Program. This will involve direct clinical supervision and managing scheduling for the program including but not limited to: facilitating IOP groups, completing psychosocial assessments, providing individual therapy and case management, completing all diagnosis assessments, treatment and discharge plans, and completing and tracking all insurance information. The Team Leader will provide direct front-line and coverage for the program when needed and take an active role in the re‑entry team. The Jail to Work Team Leader serves as a clinical member of the multi‑disciplinary team, providing treatment, rehabilitation, and support for client population. Responsibilities Gathering and submitting monthly productivity for all programs Ensuring productivity targets are met Ensuring programs function efficiently and effectively Responsible for gathering and submitting QAQI data and satisfaction surveys Responsible for being responsive to community partners which includes referrals and formal presentation of Hamilton County McNabb programs in the community Responsible for creating a safe and communicative working environment for staff Attend all relevant McNabb Center meetings Encourage and support staff in working towards professional growth Ensure appropriate and adequate documentation of reporting staff Ensure all identified records are reviewed and prepared for audits Position duties include assessing needs in the community and participating in finding funding, writing grants and building local community relationships and referral sources. Liaison with area churches, providers, law enforcement, local government, courts, state and local funders and other referral sources/partner agencies in these areas. Must participate in weekly treatment team meetings with relevant staff for coordination of care. Must uphold professional ethical standards and centers policy and procedures as well as CARF standards. Typical Working Conditions/Environment This position spends the majority of their time working in the Hamilton County Jail to Work program. A portion of time is devoted to providing coverage when needed. With program development, attendance at community and Center‑Run meetings is required. In‑person attendance is preferred. Professional appearance and demeanor is expected at all times. Daily Staff Responsibilities Adequately supervises Jail to Work case managers and residential counselors on a daily basis and ensures that all staff and clients' needs are being met in a timely manner. Create and implement coverage for all services that impact the daily flow of the Jail to Work program. Ensure clients complete drug screens, assessments/intakes, case management, crisis planning, and maintaining a participant schedule to give participants an effective daily structure for optimum progress. Facilitate IOP, case management, treatment plans, job placement, Safety Net Services, crisis planning, drug screens, transportation, and therapy as needed. Empower participants to progress towards Independency by facilitating weekly psychoeducational groups and providing therapeutic support and crisis intervention. Provide 24‑7 programming for male Jail to Work participants along with individual therapy sessions. Interact and coordinate with law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies as well as outside facilitators. Conduct three month follow up for all participants after program completion. Takes lead role in hiring and retaining staff. Schedules and covers as needed for program, this includes after hours, weekends and holidays since programs in this division are 24/7. Manage and provide coverage for jail based grants. Complete all documentation in compliance with CARF and Center Standards Completes all required documentation in compliance with Center Policy, CARF, and SSOC standards. Completes QA/QI report every 3 months. Keep participant record and files up‑to‑date. Completes treatment plans within 30 days of admission and every 6 months with input from other professionals as evidenced by signatures of MD, RN, and social worker. Monitors the completion of safety net paperwork. Updates staff and has a clear understanding of current McNabb policy and procedures, SSOC, and CARF standards. Ensures meeting productivity standards for clinic functions. Completes progress notes within one working day of encounter. Complete all required clinical documentation in accordance with Center Policy and Procedure and funding source guidelines. Ensures that all clients have an up to date ROI, treatment plan, crisis plan, consumer strengths assessment, consent to contact after discharge, and updated signature admissions page as evidence by quarterly peer reviews on Jail to Work clients. Alerts staff of any certifications or yearly trainings that needs to be completed (CPR, First Aid, TB tests, CPI, etc). Ensures that all errors are completed within 3 days of receiving the prompt. Assist in grant writing. Follows all ethical guidelines and maintains strict confidentiality in all environments. Has a clear understanding of policies and procedures and treats all people in a non‑discriminative manner. Functions as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team Must be punctual and maintain good attendance record. Uses a multidisciplinary team approach for delivery of services. Attends, without tardiness, weekly multidisciplinary team meetings. Responds to all flags, e‑mails, and voicemails within 24 hours. Meets with Assistant Director weekly for clinical and administrative supervision. Ensures that productivity requirements of face to face sessions monthly are completed. Participates in meetings and has an understanding of all audits and insurance requirements. Provides supervision to case managers, residential counselors, and interns. Complete and submit written documentation of verbal and written corrections pertaining to staff as needed. Complete annual performance appraisals for case managers, residential counselors. Meets with case managers, residential, and interns on a weekly basis for staff meetings and treatment teams. Submits monthly productivity reports to Assistant Director by the 3rd of each month. Collects daily contact logs and Treatment team reports bi‑monthly and sends information to Corporate Compliance Specialist and HR. Collects and maintains all supervision forms from Treatment Team. Assigns and maintains all case manager's caseloads and allots cases on a monthly basis depending on productivity and individual numbers. Will be responsible for student interns and maintaining/developing their schedule. May carry a therapy/case management caseload to increase productivity or provide coverage for the therapist/case manager. Demonstrates and maintains a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department. Demonstrates a consideration and concern for fellow co‑workers and their job responsibilities. Promotes harmonious relationships and attitudes by openly communicating any concerns, keeping a positive attitude, and helping others. Be involved in the community (court, meetings, church, etc). Transportation as needed. Accepts additional assignments and/or changes in assignments and/or work with a positive attitude. Compensation Starting salary for this position is approximately $54,111/year based on relevant experience and education. Schedule Due to the diversity of job responsibilities, this position requires flexibility in scheduling (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and coverage). Position requires timely in‑person attendance daily. On‑site supervision is preferred, and position must be available via phone if a function of the position requires being out of office. Travel This position may require travel for meetings and trainings outside the Hamilton County area. Position may be required to transport clients in their personal vehicle should the need arise. This would occur in instances when community based staff are unable to transport. Additional travel to surrounding counties may be required to provide supervision and/or coverage as needed. Must be capable of driving a van for transporting as needed. Equipment/Technical Competency Position requires working knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, TNWITS, Form Stack and any other platforms required by funders. Position requires regular use of a computer, and appropriate phone etiquette. Position is required to respond to all voicemails, e‑mails and messages within 24 hours. Position requires carrying a Center cell phone for timely response and coverage needs. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management and organizational skills. Equipment/Technology Must be computer literate and have ability to communicate effectively (oral and written communication). Qualifications - Hamilton Jail to Work Team Leader Experience / Knowledge Must have coursework and or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and mental retardation. One year experience preferred. Additional experience utilizing trauma‑informed practices with male clients who have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse preferred. Experience with addiction, motivational interviewing and re‑entry programming, Re‑Ed philosophy and 12‑step programs, as well as assessment, treatment planning and after‑care is also beneficial. Supervisory experience required. Education / License Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field of study. Knowledge of addiction is preferred. Physical/Emotional/Social – Skills/Abilities Ability to effectively and ethically counsel criminal justice involved adult males and families. Ability to present professionally and work within a team format to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions. Ability to effectively run and process groups with men and families. Ability to work within a team format to meet positive goals for adult men and interface with other agencies involved in the ecology of the family. This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de‑escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, and going down on knees, running, and walking. Physical de‑escalation techniques will only be implemented at McNabb Center facilities; not in community settings. Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision‑making. Ability to set and demonstrate appropriate boundaries. Ability to be an empathic listener. Flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to working with diverse populations. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Close eye work. Valid driver's license. This position requires utilizing a personal, dependable vehicle, as well as Center van to conduct Center business. The employee must have an F endorsement on his or her Driver's License to be available to transport individuals as needed. Lifting up to 50lbs. CPR/First Aid certification required yearly.
