James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN

HCA Healthcare is seeking a James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to support our busy Emergency Room within the Healthcare & Medical Services team. Based at our James Island facility, this role combines advanced clinical practice with frontline leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency care for patients and families.

The ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a registered nurse who functions as a clinical expert and shift leader, coordinating daily operations, patient flow, and nursing practice in a fast-paced emergency environment. Working closely with physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff, you will help oversee triage and rapid assessment, guide prioritization of care, and support staff in managing a wide range of emergent and high-acuity conditions across the lifespan.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care as needed while serving as a resource and mentor for the team. You will support staff in applying evidence-based emergency nursing standards, assist with complex clinical decision-making, and foster effective communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. You will play a key part in ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, as well as supporting quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental performance goals.
