Operating Room Circulator

General job duties:

Circulate Cases, Help with turnover cleaning, Transport patients when needed, Schedule cases.

Types of Procedures required to independently circulate:

General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, Gynecology.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:

EPIC/Pyxis/Provation

Required skills and minimum years of experience:

2 to 3 years at minimum of circulating cases in a hospital setting. Ability to scrub cases is preferred.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:

BLS, State of Hawaii RN license required for this position.

Shift or schedule requirements:

We currently operate from Monday through Friday from 0645 to 2315. Your shifts may be variable based on department needs. Travelers will be scheduled 40 hours a week, possibility of 32 hours if there is a holiday.

We cover call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Everyone is assigned call, on average 1-2 times a week plus up to 2 weekends a month. Must be within 30 minute radius of hospital for call back.

The applicant will orient on the day shift for up to 1 week or under manager's discretion.

Traveler must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the duration of the contract if RTO (requested time off) is requested and approved.

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept:

We have 6 OR suites plus one dedicated to C sections. Daily we have 4 to 6 rooms running simultaneously. We are a small but very busy and efficient OR.

Scrubs are provided.
