Heavy Equipment MechanicHiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the construction repair industry in Bronx, NY!Salary: $55.18 – $60.19/hourShift: 1st shift, 7:00am – 4:00pmLocation: On-site in Bronx, NYJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipment, with a focus on CAT equipmentPerform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs in accordance with service standardsUtilize diagnostic software and technical documentation to identify and resolve issuesPlan and execute efficient repair procedures to meet or exceed labor guidelinesDocument all troubleshooting steps, repairs performed, and service communications accuratelyEfficiently use tools, parts, and technical resources to minimize downtime and costCommunicate repair status, findings, and recommendations with supervisorsFollow all safety policies and participate in required safety meetings, audits, and trainingMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with contamination control initiativesEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical or vocational training in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipmentCAT equipment experience preferredStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skillsComputer proficiency to run diagnostic software and prepare service documentationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervisionCDL license preferredAbility to lift up to 60 lbs., work in physically demanding environments, and perform tasks requiring climbing, kneeling, crawling, and extended reachingAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPEIf you are interested, please apply
