Were seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support our 3rd shift operations in Buffalo NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting inspections maintaining quality records and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece in-process receiving tooling and final inspections.

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

• Utilize a variety of gauges and inspection equipment.

• Calibrate set up and maintain inspection tools and gauges.

• Inspect specialty tooling including forms shaves drills and broaches before use.

• Verify compliance with plating heat-treat and other outside process specifications.

• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.

• Identify quality concerns issue rejections when necessary and recommend corrective actions.

• Support communication and coordination between Quality Engineering Maintenance and Production teams.

• Maintain a safe clean work environment in accordance with 6S standards.

• Follow all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

• Strong shop math skills.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

• Knowledge of calibration practices and quality inspection methods.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes heat treating plating and outside operations.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to make sound quality decisions and effectively communicate findings.
