Clinical Pharmacist I - Outpatient
Johns Hopkins Medicine
Since 1983, Johns Hopkins Care at Home has provided safe, high-quality and cost-effective care in the home and community. Our team links care across multiple sites for patients, families and colleagues in an effort to restore, maintain and promote health and reduce the effects of disease and disability. As part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, we have access to the most innovative treatments and latest research, and we emphasize education and training among our team members. We also collaborate with doctors, nurses and specialists throughout Johns Hopkins Medicine to ensure continuity of your care.
The Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist I interprets prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications ordered by physicians or other authorized prescribers. The Pharmacist is a medication expert and provides information to both patients and health care providers, as well as other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager. The Staff Pharmacist works under moderate supervision with appropriate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. They report directly to the pharmacy manager. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the Clinical Pharmacist I reports to the assistant pharmacy manager or the pharmacist in charge. In the event the pharmacy manager is not available, the Clinical Pharmacist I may act as the pharmacist in charge.
