Material Planning Manager

Primary Job Function Administer manufacturing policies, programs and procedures that maintain and improve TSAC’s competitive position. Direct and ensure the manufacture and delivery of products on schedule and within quality specifications and cost objectives. Support the development of cost objectives. Support the development of all manufacturing associates through positive human relation strategies and relationship building. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management. Key Areas of Responsibility Manage, coordinate and control materials requirement planning to optimize the manufacture of company products consistent with the established specifications and corporate objectives Plan prompt and economical delivery of materials/supplies and finished goods to customers – both internal and external Manage/direct all material handling activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization for facilities for shipping, receiving and storing of manufactured goods Plan, execute and maintain company initiatives such as ISO 14001, Thai Summit Production System, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, etc. in areas of accountability Support the improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost, morale, housekeeping, teamwork improvement activities, attendance and administrative procedures Manage operating costs through a systematic approach to identify and eliminate waste with continuous improvement in all processes and products provided by TSAC Support the development of all manufacturing associates through positive human relation strategies, which uphold and reinforce the manufacturing mission statement Ensure the application of sound management practices within area of accountability. These include: standardized process, communication flow through out department, documented action registers for all groups and an audit process of effectiveness Communicate with all departments in establishing areas of responsibility and to share timely, accurate and cost-effective information Train and develop manufacturing management, team leaders and associates in manufacturing practices and company policies, programs and procedures Participate in the interview, selection and training of associates for open positions Ensure fair and consistent administration of all employment policies, rules and practices. Promote the treatment of all Associates with dignity and respect Additional duties as assigned by management Minimum Requirements Associates degree or enrollment in classes towards Associates degree in a related business field or equivalent experience preferred Excellent knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing operations and material requirements planning and distribution with 5 years of related management experience required Proven leadership organization and interpersonal skill required Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices Training Requirements or Equivalents Incident Training/5Y 5S IATF 16949 Management Overview 8D Problem Solving Legal Issues and Procedural Training Ford Training ERP System Training Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day Hand and eye coordination Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hours or more) Ability to use a phone and computer keyboard Ability to work in office and manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
