Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons. Description This shift is 40 hours Monday-Friday 7:30a-3:30p The pay rate range for this position is $20.00-$21.49 per hour depending on years of prior experience with NYS OPWDD programs Must have valid Driver's License Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Prior experience assisting persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism Ability to safely drive an Agency van for a majority of the day Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to document services electronically Ability to work independently Valid NY State Driver’s License with less than 8 points required Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide ongoing oversight to people attending the Day Habilitation Program Implement the Day Habilitation plan for each person following stated safeguards Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the individual personalized program plan Implement behavioral support plans as written and to ensure associated data collection Train in and demonstrate competency of CPR, SCIP, Person-Centered Planning and Defensive Driving Drive agency vehicles and demonstrate safe driving practices Travel train program participants via public transportation Establish and maintain a rapport with community supports Flexibility to work at varied Day Habilitation sites located in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties if needed Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Experience Licenses & Certifications Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
