Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.A Day in the Life:As a Senior Software Test Engineer within the CRDN Organization, you are accountable for working with your scrum team(s), product owner(s), and leaders to deliver capabilities that meet overall business objectives using Agile frameworks. The team is responsible for developing and supporting firmware, embedded, GUI and application software for stand-alone medical devices. This role is expected to be a member of the scrum team and contribute towards testing new product capabilities, features, and solutions that support business strategies and initiatives. This role would ensure high quality medical software is delivered to customers that complies to all regulatory approvals.In general, the following responsibilities apply for the SeniorSoftware Test Engineer role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:As a member of the scrum team, own features from manual and automated testing perspective.Co-ordinate with Test Lead and other developers in identifying the scope of testing and provide estimatesDefine, plan, organize and coordinate testing activities for owned features and areas and ensure high quality features are delivered following IEC 62304/82304.Be able to raise defects in case of failing test scenarios and provide adequate information for debugging and resolving reported issues.Automate the qualifying test case in-house developed framework built on Robot Framework and PythonWork with other team members and contribute towards major milestone delivery like Regression Cycles, Alpha and End-Game testingThe successful candidate will have:Previous experience as Software Test Engineer preferably in medical device industryExperience with agile software development teamsHands-on experience in software testing, automation, regression testing and maintenance for software products.Hands-on experience in Python and/or Robot FrameworkExperience in creating software test plans, test cases, test reports and bug reportingExperience with Linux operating system and/or QTQualifications-MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, PLEASE BE SURE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUMEBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years of Software Development experience OR a Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of Software Development experienceNice to HaveAgile SAFe training/experienceCogent, concise written communicationFamiliarity with Agile testing quadrantsFamiliarity with test automation frameworks – such as SquishFamiliarity with gRPC protocolUnderstanding of ALM tools (e.g. JIRA, CodeBeamer, Azure DevOps)Understanding of modern DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins.About MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
