Service Technician & Mechanic - Crane & Heavy Duty Truck

ALL Carolina Crane & Equipment, LLC is seeking a Crane and Heavy Duty Truck Service Technician & Mechanic. Hands-on experience with cranes and lift equipment preferred but training may be provided for the right individual. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package. This position is eligible for a candidate sign-on bonus of $300 payable after 100 days of continuous, successful employment.

Essential functions include troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all makes of cranes and heavy duty trucks. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, and modifying components as needed, reading and understanding operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. A positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department, and customers is necessary, along with preparing proper documentation of actions taken. The technician must also work with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs, maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience requirements include strong initiative, a strong diesel engine, hydraulic, and electrical background, a basic set of mechanic's hand tools, the ability to work safely around moving machinery, and previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is desired. Experience with Cummins INSITE or other diagnostic software is a plus. The applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Manufacturer's training will be an integral part of this position. The applicant must be willing to learn new computer, electronic, and hydraulic systems, follow safety guidelines as they evolve in the industry, and remain certified within various portions of the field such as assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting.
