Opportunity We are seeking a civil engineering leader who has become a household name in the Arizona land development and municipal engineering circles. Your ability to win projects, manage teams, and deliver results should be second to none. Must be located in the greater Phoenix, AZ or greater Scottsdale, AZ areas, or surrounding areas with ability to travel for client meetings as needed. Responsibilities Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for a variety of clients across numerous sectors and regions. Understand market needs and trends to identify and act on opportunities to win work. Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion. Recruit, manage, mentor, and collaborate with staff as needed to provide a positive team environment. Maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory programs, funding opportunities, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations. Represent SEH with local governments, municipalities and industry events. Respond to RFQs. Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects. Present proposals to clients, interview for projects, and select project teams. Determine major project design decisions in conjunction with clients. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field of study. Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona. Experience with design, construction and project management of development and municipal projects. Experience in client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of fifteen (15) years of previous experience. Previous experience in industrial/commercial development. Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff. Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national Civil Engineering societies and associations. Registered NCEES with the ability to get licensed in New Mexico, Colorado or other states if needed. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $145,000 and $175,000 based on skill set and experience. Due to current business and operational considerations, employees residing in the following states cannot be hired at this time: AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, and PR.
