Travel Surgical Technologist - High-Volume OR + Robotics

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong multi-specialty OR experience for a hospital operating room position in Virginia. Requirements Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience required Proficiency in at least 80% of the case types listed in the job details is required CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required Active Virginia (VA) state license required if applicable Robotics experience strongly preferred Responsibilities Hospital OR setting with 14–15 surgical suites in operation daily High-volume environment averaging 40–60 cases per day, with holiday volumes reaching up to 80 cases Broad case mix including bariatric, total joints (knees and hips), spine (fusions and laminectomies), GYN (excluding C-sections including D&Cs), plastics, vascular, oncology/breast, general, urology, lithotripsy, occasional pediatric fractures, circumcision, laceration repair, appendectomy, ENT, and hepatobiliary (lap and open) No cardiac or thoracic cases Robotics experience strongly preferred; candidates with strong ortho, spine, general, urology, and minimally invasive lap surgery backgrounds will also be considered Candidates with experience in eye and plastics are of particular interest EMR: Epic 12-hour day shifts, 0645–1915, 36 hours per week On-call required: up to 24 hours of weeknight and 24 hours of weekend on-call per 6-week period Holiday coverage required: 48 hours within a 6-week schedule (1 major, 1 minor holiday) Scrubs are provided by the facility Floor-specific orientation is approximately 1 week Travelers are not typically expected to float to cover pediatric dental cases Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-706394 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr Newsandtribune
