Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Location: Atlanta, GA, US; Suwanee, GA, US The Opportunity Black & Veatch offers a high‑profile leadership role as part of the Water/Wastewater business leadership team. You will manage the successful delivery of water‑related infrastructure projects in the multi‑million‑dollar range. Relocation may be offered for the right candidate. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days. Key Responsibilities Leading team efforts for marketing, strategy development; Prospect identification, proposal development, proposal preparation, client presentations, project budgeting and contracting; Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance; External focus to interact with assigned clients and promote Black Veatch through client and community activities; Support development of the overall market business plan, client engagement strategies, and leverage other resources to advance Black Veatch’s market footprint; Oversight of engineering manager(s), development of project performance goals, accountability for implementation; Active involvement with internal project team and owner project representatives on project activities; Perform or assist with performance and commercial management of projects including budgeting, invoicing, payments; lead project performance reviews for assigned project(s); Team development, mentoring and coaching on performance improvement; Recommendations for training and promotion of assigned professionals and identification of new candidates. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) License; 10+ years of civil engineering design, including conceptual planning, preliminary and final design in water and wastewater treatment, master planning, water main, water facilities, pump stations, and conveyance; Experience on BIM‑developed projects; Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements. Management Responsibilities Acts as a project manager and manages a project team, which may vary by project. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days. Typical office and construction environments; extreme weather conditions, high noise, safety hazards, physical demands such as walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds.
