PrideStaff is seeking a skilled and consistent MIG Welder for a metal fabrication company in Matthews, NC. The qualified candidates must have three or more years of experience MIG Welding. Knowledge and experience with structural steel and I-beams is necessary. The desired candidate will be hardworking; have strong attention to detail; and the ability to work well in a team-based, collaborative environment.

Pay Rate: $22-24/hr. based on skill and experience.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with weekend overtime potential as needed.

What You Will Do

• Set up column preparations, cut and install PVC drainpipes, and install conduit based on job specifications.
• Perform high-quality structural welding, including welding web stiffeners and end plates to beams.
• Interpret drawings and blueprints to measure beams, check punched holes for accuracy, and cope or taper beams.
• Track plate inventory and order necessary fabrication materials from the supply room.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area, participate in safety training, and collaborate with team members.

What You Will Bring

• Strong experience using MIG and Plasma welding machines on steel and aluminum.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure, interpret blueprints, and follow precise technical specifications.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred; completion of an apprenticeship or relevant on-the-job training is a plus.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical movements like climbing, bending, and squatting.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $24.00
