AP/CP Surgical Pathologist

AP/CP Surgical Pathologist Position Type: Full-Time Practice Setting: Hospital-based Practice Subspecialty Focus: Surgical Pathology Fellowship training preferred The Opportunity: Join a well-established private practice feel, offering a balanced workload. Service Responsibilities: covering services in one or more of the five Legacy hospitals in the Portland metro area Signing out surgical cases in a semi-subspecialty sign-out model Interpreting intraoperative frozen sections and rapid on-site cytology evaluations Presenting at general and/or specialty tumor boards Serving as CLIA Director for clinical laboratories Covering call, equally shared among all pathologists Candidate Qualifications MD or DO with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology, Cytopathology, or Hematopathology strongly desired Strong computer skills and digital pathology skills is a plus Eligible for medical licensure in OR and WA Experience preferred, but recent graduates also considered Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary and bonus structure Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life and AD&D Insurance Flexible Spending Plan Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan 6 Weeks of Vacation + 10 Days of CME Paid Holidays Professional Development and Advancement Opportunities Paid Licensure and Professional Training Tuition Reimbursement Relocation Assistance Location: Portland, Oregon offers an exceptional quality of life with a vibrant food scene, beautiful natural surroundings, and a strong sense of community.
