Job Description
The Assistant Controller plays a key role in managing the financial operations of the company, overseeing a medium-sized finance team of 4 to 7 members. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, and strong internal controls while coordinating closely with external auditors during audit processes. The Assistant Controller utilizes ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, along with accounting software like QuickBooks, to maintain compliance and support sound financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage budgeting processes and monitor budget adherence
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Coordinate audit activities with external auditors
Supervise and mentor a finance team of 4-7 members
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
Monitor compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Manage cash flow to support operational needs
Analyze financial data to inform business decisions
Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely reporting

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, QuickBooks)
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
