Job Description

Position: Surgical Technologist

Location: Edwards Surgery Center, Edwards, CO

Length: 13 weeks

Shift: Days, 4x10 schedule

Job Summary:
Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field and providing instruments as needed. Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and support safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
Assist surgical team with instruments and supplies.
Monitor sterile field and notify team of any contamination.
Participate in patient transports, room prep, and turnovers.
Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures, tools, and AORN standards.
Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.
Communicate effectively with the surgical team during Time Out, briefings, and debriefings.
Follow safety protocols and maintain HIPAA compliance.
