Security Officer/EMTPatrols casino premises and/or guards casino posts to maintain safety and security; prevent underage gambling and casino floor access, protect assets and ensure observance of applicable laws and casino regulations; responds and assists guests and team members who require medical attention.Essential Job Functions:Responds to all medical related incidents on the propertyPerforms specific security duties as outlined by the Security Department policies and procedures to ensure the protection of all company assets as well as the safety and welfare of guests and team membersPrepares reports as requiredVerifies patrons identifications to prevent those under the age of 21 from gaining access to the Rivers Casino & Resort propertyAssist in the implementation of emergency proceduresHandles patrons inquiries and complaints and will solicit the support of a Security Supervisor as necessaryAll other duties as assignedQualifications:New York Emergency Medical Technician certificationHigh School diploma or equivalentCasino hotel experience preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsKnowledge in various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) preferredMust be able to walk, run, stand, kneel, stretch, push, pull and pull weight for a full 8 hour shiftAbility to communicate with team members and guestsAbility to be a TEAM playerAbility to successfully fulfill the pre-employment processAbility to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidaysWorking Conditions:Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feelAbility to communicate with team members and guestsAvailable to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidaysAble to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanorMust occasionally lift up to 25 poundsAbility to work in a noisy environmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
