We’re seeking two senior-level professionals to support Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) on the multi‑billion‑dollar Terminal Development & Improvement Program (TDIP) — one of the most complex aviation capital programs in the country. Open Roles (Onsite at LAX) As a senior member of the Program Controls team, you will: Review cost and contract performance across the Capital Program using LAWA’s PMIS. Develop program-wide cost control policies, procedures, and reporting tools. Perform independent cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle (budgeting, invoicing, forecasting, closeout). Support program risk reporting and collaborate with Finance, Estimating, and Controls teams. Train and mentor cost engineering staff. Support internal and external audit responses. What You Bring 15+ years of project controls experience, including large-scale aviation or alternative delivery projects. Proven accuracy, reliability, and ability to communicate with technical and executive audiences. Strong organizational skills and a proactive, “can‑do” mindset. Proficiency with MS Office, PMIS systems (PMWeb preferred), Adobe Acrobat; Primavera experience desirable. Schedule: Hybrid — Onsite Tue/Wed/Thu; Telework Mon/Fri. As part of the owner’s scheduling team, you will: Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for major terminal, airside, and asset renewal projects. Review and analyze contractor schedules (baseline, updates, TIAs, recovery schedules, as‑builts). Perform forensic schedule analysis to support claims, delays, and negotiations. Coordinate interdependencies across multiple concurrent projects. Ensure compliance with LAWA coding structures and contract requirements. Develop KPIs and provide clear reporting to technical and management audiences. What You Bring 10+ years of scheduling experience, including 5+ years supporting active construction programs. Direct forensic scheduling experience on $200M+ projects with multi‑year durations. Mastery of Primavera P6; experience with Schedule Analyzer, Claims Digger, MS Project, Bluebeam. Strong understanding of design/construction methodologies and multiple delivery methods (DBB, CMAR, DB). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CM, or related field; certifications preferred. Why GEMS?
