Description:
This position requires a Trauma ICU Registered Nurse with the ability to work 3x12 or 4x12 shifts.
Every other weekend is required, and there is no on-call duty.
Nurses may need to float to all hospital areas to care for ICU and TCU patients, including Emergency Department holds.
Candidates must have current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Two years of prior ICU experience is required.
Epic charting experience is necessary.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
Scrub color is navy blue.
Requests for time off must be submitted with the application and additional requests are subject to manager discretion.
Blocked scheduling options may be considered.
Patient ratio is 2 patients per nurse during day and night shifts, and weekends.
The daily census is approximately 20 patients.
Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Trauma experience and familiarity with specific procedures is preferred.
The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support for patient care.
Candidates must complete OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to start.
Fit testing is required, and travelers must comply with personal grooming standards to ensure seal integrity.
Failure to adhere to fit testing requirements may result in cancellation of the contract.
All clinicians cannot work as travelers for more than one year without taking a six-month break before returning.
Modules required prior to starting may vary in length and are not billable.
