JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board certification in ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, AOBEM, AOBFM, or AOBIM accepted; APBS/ABPS not accepted
  
• Licenses: Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license; Active DEA registration with Mississippi address
  
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V required
  
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA only), ATLS, PALS; BLS required unless EM boarded
  
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine; residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
  
• Other Qualifications: Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for the past 2 years; immunization requirements (COVID, Flu, Varicella, MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB testing)
  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergency medicine coverage for the ED at UMMC Greenwood Leflore
  
• Manage acute medical conditions and trauma cases in accordance with department protocols
  
• Perform required procedures and interventions as needed
  
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
  
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all regulatory, credentialing, and compliance requirements
