The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks that may affect the plant's ability to achieve its objectives and those of the company. This includes continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the health of assets, eliminating losses, managing risk, and managing assets throughout their lifecycle.Duties/Responsibilities include:Incorporate a three-year maintenance plan to improve asset reliabilityIdentify knowledge gaps and future skills needsUse external references to identify current best practices and influence maintenance and reliability strategyDevelop asset risk criticality ranking and apply it to minimize these risksWork with engineering to integrate capital expenditure projects into preventive maintenance (PM) and maintenance activitiesIdentify and monitor indicators to measure asset performance (utilization, overall equipment efficiency, remaining life, reliability, cost, etc.Develop strategies to improve the performance and reliability of assetsProvide solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems affecting operations (root cause analysis (CBA), reliability-based maintenance (MBF) and failure mode, effects, and consequences analysis (FMEA)Review and resolve production losses and abnormally high maintenance costs per assetManage risks that may affect the achievement of the company's strategic objectives in the following areas: health and safety, environment, performance, quality, costs, and customer serviceBe involved in the design and installation phases of projectsFocus efforts to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, services, facilities, controls, and security systemsDesign and monitor maintenance strategies based on asset performanceReview mean time to repair (MTR) and mean time between failure (MTBF) results to identify opportunities for improvementConduct life cycle costing analyses on new, problematic, and aging assetsHold monthly meetings to discuss breakage analysis.Manage reliability projects.Knowledge and ExperienceBS Mechanical or similar degree preferred5+ years of experience as a reliability of plant engineerKnowledge of CMMSSanimax reclaims used cooking oil, meat & organic by-products from the agri-food industry, then transform them into industrial ingredients that will be used to manufacture everyday items.
