Commercial Floor Equipment Field Service Technician/ Technical Trainer

Innovation At Work, Inc. (IAW) is seeking an experienced Commercial Floor Equipment Field Service Technician to provide scheduled preventive maintenance and minor repairs for commercial housekeeping equipment at three customer locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Work Locations- Palo Alto
- Menlo Park
- Livermore
- Perform preventive maintenance according to OEM recommendations
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs
- Clean, lubricate, adjust, and test equipment
- Replace normal wear items as needed
- Complete electronic service reports and maintenance documentation
- Maintain a professional relationship with onsite personnel
- Automatic floor scrubbers
- Burnishers
- Buffers
- Carpet extractors
- Wet/Dry vacuums
- Backpack vacuums
- Central vacuum systems
- Air movers
- Other commercial floor care equipment
- Approximately 48 hours per month
- Two scheduled service days per month at each of the three locations
- Flexible daytime schedule (Monday-Friday)
- Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and servicing commercial floor care equipment
- Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers preferred:
- Advance/Nilfisk
- Windsor
- Clarke
- Tennant
- Kärcher
- Minuteman
- Powr-Flite
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Experience performing preventive maintenance independently
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience servicing hospitals, schools, commercial facilities, or government facilities
- Experience working under preventive maintenance contracts
- EPA/OSHA safety training is a plus
