Joe V's proudly stands by our mission to deliver the lowest grocery prices in the world for the smartest shoppers, so they can enjoy life's pleasures.Job Summary: As a Career Coach, you'll oversee the orientation and on-boarding for all new hire Partners, deliver hourly in-Store training and reporting for all departments, facilitate and guide Partners in career planning and career growth, and perform administrative duties. You'll ensure all Partners are informed and understand the career opportunities available at Joe V's Smart Shop.Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Training / Coaching / Administration: Trains hourly Partners; provides individual and / or group training, demonstrations, and store walks or overviewsCompletes training administration including documentation, tracking, and assessmentsFacilitates career planning discussions with Partners and equips Partners with career tools and resourcesWorks with department managers and monitors progress to ensure training activities / assignments are completed and provides accurate, timely feedback about performanceProvides feedback / revisions to content owner on training materialsUses best practices, preferred methods, and JVSS SOPs to achieve training objectivesCommunicates Partner concerns to Department Manager and Top Leader when appropriatePromotes the learning culture of the DivisionConducts in-store workshops, including informational career sessionsCoordinates / supports JVSS Academy programs and processesReviews weekly payroll report to ensure hours are charged properlyProcesses Partner profile changes and new hire information in PeopleSoft systemMaintains files on hourly Store Partners, updating as needed; sends copies to Partner Service Center Digital Imaging CenterCoordinates training, meetings, and special projects / activitiesCoordinates and tracks Store hiring needs, interviews, new hires, orientation, and exit interviewsPrepares reports and presentations by collecting, compiling, and analyzing information and dataUpdates Partner Communication boards for total store as requestedProvides store support for key corporate annual initiativesQualifications & Key Requirements:Work Experience: Experience in retail store operations or in a clerical, administrative role - RequiredExperience in training (facilitation, delivery, group training) - RequiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of the business and department operations - RequiredAdvanced verbal / written communication skills - RequiredAdvanced training / facilitation skills; ability to adjust training style as needed - RequiredTime-management, planning, coordinating, and organization skills - RequiredProblem solving / analytical skills - RequiredPC skills; proficiency in MS Office and PeopleSoft - RequiredAbility to provide training feedback / coaching and effectively communicate to Partners - RequiredAbility to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; detail-oriented - RequiredAbility to work independently; self-motivated - RequiredEducation: HS Diploma or GED or equivalent - RequiredLicenses/Certifications: Completion of required job skills and compliance-related training - RequiredPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Function in a fast-paced, demanding environment that requires detailed, precision workWork a flexible schedule; there may be late evenings and overnight training that occursWork with Customers and Partners, staying attentive to their needsConstantly reach at waist, graspFrequently stand and walkOccasionally sit, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push / pull with arms, pinch, shoulder circumduction, and use fine motor movementsOccasionally be exposed to wet, cold, and hot (non-weather) conditions, ambient temperatures, and loud noiseDemonstrate the ability to lift 56 lbs, and push/pull with up to 86 lbs of forceIt is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and / or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
