Local and travel candidates accepted
75-mile radius rule
Local candidates receive the local W-2 rate
Travel candidates receive the travel rate including applicable stipends

Compensation

Travel SLP: $78.00/hr including stipends
Local SLP: $68.50/hr on W-2

Job Summary

GSK Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week contract assignment in its Long-Term Care (LTC) setting in Utica, NY.

The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs while collaborating with nursing, medical staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized treatment plans and support optimal patient outcomes.

LTC experience is mandatory for this position.

Mandatory Requirements

Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
LTC experience is required
Graduate of an accredited college/university with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Eligible for or currently holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong patient assessment and clinical evaluation skills
Ability to develop accurate prognoses and individualized treatment plans
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with Epic/EMR
Knowledge of the PDPM (Patient-Driven Payment Model) reimbursement system

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical needs.
Provide appropriate speech-language and swallowing therapy interventions.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on patient response.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and facility personnel.
Provide education regarding communication, swallowing, and therapeutic strategies.
Maintain compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Support patient goals and promote the highest achievable level of function and quality of life.
Apply knowledge of PDPM reimbursement requirements to clinical documentation and treatment planning.
