Job Description:
This is a patient-facing, administrative support role focused on helping patients navigate the healthcare system. The Healthcare Coordinator plays a critical role in managing referrals, authorizations, and ensuring patients can follow through on their care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle patient referrals and coordinate with providers
- Manage prior authorizations for services
- Communicate with patients by phone to resolve barriers to care
- Support patients facing challenges such as lack of insurance, transportation, or language barriers
- Collaborate with internal departments like the enrollment team
- Track care coordination to ensure follow-through and “close the loop” on services
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or patient service
- Bilingual in Spanish/English (required)
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Dress Code: Business casual
