Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a night shift schedule. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Details

• Shift: 3x12 hours, Nights (7p - 7a)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: Rarely required, if needed for the first 4 hours
• Floating: May be required to float between units based on facility needs

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience
• First Time Travelers: Accepted
• License: Valid SC or multi-state/compact RN license
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred Certification: NIHSS
• Special Requirements: Epic experience required

Miscellaneous Information

• Block Schedule Accommodation: Requires manager's approval upon request, depending on unit needs
• Local Radius: 60 miles
• Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis
• RTO Guidelines: All RTO must be included at the time of submission
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks

Facility Environment

This is an acute care hospital with a total of 304 staffed beds. The standard scrub color is royal blue, and charting is conducted using the Epic system. Parking is available in downtown lots, and a parking pass will be provided at badge pickup without any fees.

Hurricane Season Advisory

Please note that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Consideration of new or extended assignments during peak months (August and September) is advised against.
