The Opportunity: We, at Flywire, are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality CRM capabilities, integrations, workflow automation, and customer-centric digital experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with architecture thinking, platform best practices, integration experience, and leadership capabilities. Primarily you will be responsible for being hands‑on in Salesforce portal development, Apex programming, Lightning framework, Salesforce configurations, Salesforce Flows and enterprise integrations. You will be responsible for design, develop and maintain secure, scalable Salesforce solutions leveraging Apex and Lightning Web Components, being an expert in identifying and implementing custom and out‑of‑the‑box functionality provided by Salesforce. As a Senior Salesforce Developer you will work closely with the Stakeholders and Salesforce development team to recommend and implement the most cost‑effective and sustainable Salesforce solutions as possible. This person will have diverse responsibilities focused on Salesforce capabilities, Salesforce application cycles, custom business processes, and user communications. You will work closely with other 'leads' on the assigned project(s) to best leverage Salesforce capabilities, perform higher level configuration, and mentor users on this configuration of Salesforce. You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, high‑performing solutions that integrate seamlessly with our existing tech stack. Your goal is to ensure that our CRM isn't just a database, but a sophisticated engine driving business growth and operational efficiencies. You will be responsible for configuration, and optimization of our Salesforce ecosystem. As a Salesforce subject matter expert, you will ensure to be a trusted partner in delivering critical capabilities to empower the Go To Market organization. You will be partnering closely with cross‑functional leaders to provide technical expertise, lead system enhancements. Key Responsibilities: Technical implementations: Develop and maintain Salesforce capabilities, system enhancements such as new features, integrations and automation. Design, develop, unit test, and deploy secure, scalable out-of-the-box and custom Apex solutions including triggers, batch jobs, REST services, as well as Lightning components. Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries across standard and custom objects in complex data models. Develop and maintain integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, Workato and Platform Events. Collaboration: Experience with agile processes like scrum and understanding of delivering incremental value is required. Partner with teams in the organization to analyze requirements and translate complex technical requirements into Salesforce solutions; including determining if they should be solved with configurations or customizations. Support end users with troubleshooting, training and best practices. Communicate often and proactively to stakeholders and partners. Partner with product owners and stakeholders to guide prioritization of features, and deliver based on aligned priorities. Security and Scalability: Ensure compliance with security standards, while building scalable user-friendly solutions. Adhering to established coding standards, deployment process (CI/CD), and data integrity protocols. Also includes integration design and managing complex integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems. Mentorship: Provide guidance and code reviews for junior team members to ensure best practices are followed. Innovation and Improvement: Establish a culture of continuous improvement by actively evaluating new Salesforce features, including Agentforce, to enhance business efficiency. Training and Support: Develop guidelines, documentation. Provide high-tier technical support to ensure the successful adoption of system changes and best practices. Here’s What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 7+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer. Experience with developing on Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and CPQ platforms. Strong hands‑on experience in Apex, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and Salesforce DX (SFDX) development. Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with foundational experience in Java for web application development. Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Workato, Platform Events, and OAuth-based authentication. Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Lightning Platform (LWC, Aura, Lightning App Builder) focusing on reusable component architecture and UI optimization. Experience working with Marketing Cloud integrations to support campaigns and communications. Certification as a Salesforce Certified Developer. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language. A solid track record of developing in complex Salesforce environments, including business process configuration, security, and reporting. Data-driven decision-maker with experience in automation and an understanding of the interactions between people, processes, and systems. Excellent organizational skills and experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to pivot quickly when business strategies change. Ability to work with XML, Java and web service based integrations. Experience with Agile Methodologies, with 4+ years of experience working in Agile Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release cycles. Strong problem‑solving abilities and work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Agentforce experience implementing AI-driven automation and Agentforce capabilities within Salesforce ecosystems. Experience with FinTech. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000 - $115,000 and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
