Quality Control Lab Technician

The Quality Control Lab Technician will be responsible for sampling and routine testing on aggregate and asphalt materials. This candidate will know the State, Federal, and local specifications to ensure our hot mix asphalt and crushed stone is consistent with quality and compliance. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with good math and computer skills. As well as being personable, self-motivated, and reliable. We are willing to train.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Perform required tests
• Maintain consistent communication with management about testing
• Maintain organization of records
• Daily maintenance of lab equipment
• Assist in resolving problems

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Requirements

• Manual labor environment
• Driver's License

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Verbal and written communication
• Basic math skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Able to communicate with others by telephone and in person.
• Able to utilize a computer for preparation of documents and reports.
• May require periodically lifting to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet, while noise levels at the production or jobsite locations will be higher.
• The position may require work outside of normal business hours, night work is a requirement along with some weekends if the individual job requires it.
