Construction Manager - On Site

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager - On Site to join our team! In this role as a CM you will be onsite daily at LANL, supporting a wide range of field observation and reporting as well as planning, programming, design, construction commissioning, turnover to operations, tenant occupancy and owner's agent-related assignments.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct onsite construction oversight, including inspections, safety observations, quality assurance, and compliance verification for minor construction projects in support of the NNSA Los Alamos Field Office.
• Assists with the review of Construction Management Plans, Site Specific Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans, design plans, and other documents as required.
• Support federal oversight of design development, construction execution, and project closeout activities to ensure compliance with DOE, NNSA, and site-specific requirements.
• Support acquisition planning, cost estimating, project scheduling, risk management, configuration management, commissioning, procurement, and claims support as requested.
• Participate in meetings as requested.
• Review project cost and schedule performance reporting, providing oversight regarding potential unallowable project costs, document and present progress report and contract status
• Review project schedules and plans to recommend risk-based oversight plan to the COR.
• Timely documentation of all oversight activities conducted (e.g. observation reports, review comments, weekly summary) and identify concerns and recommended improvements to the Federal Program Manager and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
• Interface directly with the Los Alamos Field Office COR serving as the onsite task monitor.
• May participate in special assessments as requested.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Q or able to obtain within 6 months upon hire.
• BA/BS level degree
• 10+ years of experience in a construction management related field
• Broad technical competency in at least one major discipline (civil/structural/architectural, mechanical, electrical), with ability to oversee and integrate others.
• Knowledge of the International Building Code, National Electric Code, Uniform Plumbing and Mechanical Codes, ASME codes, and similar consensus standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with federal staff, M&O contractors, and multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
• Professional written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to build strong relationships grounded in respect and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience at LANL/ knowledge of LANL policies and procedures preferred.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• The successful candidate should be able to assist in analysis of technical issues, review project documents and plans, development and analysis of facility requirements, development of pros and cons with defensible recommendations, and review of project schedules.
• An active Q clearance is desired for this position or the ability to attain clearance within 6 months of hire.

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
