Job Title:         Technical Writer

Client:             ATM Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration:         12 months (possibility extension)

Location:         North Canton, OH 44720

Shift:               1st Shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Description:

Provide technical documentation services for the Physical Security product line, primarily creating and updating service documentation for technicians. The role involves working closely with product managers, product application support teams, trainers, and technical support staff to develop documentation for troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing service parts.

Responsibilities / Primary Duties

• Create and update technical documentation for existing and new products, including installation manuals, user guides, and owner's manuals.
• Develop troubleshooting instructions in collaboration with trainers and technical support staff.
• Document procedures for repairing and replacing service parts, including exploded part views and part tables imported from engineering CAD drawings.
• Document best practices in collaboration with trainers and technical support staff.
• Learn product functionality and specifications to translate technical information into clear documentation.
• Add illustrations, pictures, and videos to technical documentation as needed.
• Support the product management team with technical writing and documentation.
• Migrate part numbers from PDM Matrix to Team Center.
• Execute testing procedures in the lab and perform other general lab tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical writing is required.
• Hands-on experience with SCHEMA ST4 or an equivalent tool is required.
• Hands-on experience with Xmetal or an equivalent tool is required.
• Hands-on experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent tools is required.
• Engineering degree is preferred but not required.
• Candidate should be local to North Canton, OH.
