DSC Restaurant Server

Server Position

The Server position provides service to the guests of the Mustangs restaurant; including but not limited to acting as hostess, server and cashier.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash and keeping server/cashier station clean.
• Provide all guests with excellent customer service by greeting and thanking them for their patronage.
• Be aware of all specials/promotions throughout the casino.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, including describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Maintain a till that will be counted before and after each shift with a Cage department team member.
• Take and place orders for all guests (internal and external).
• Prepare and serve all non-alcoholic beverages.
• Prepare and maintain tables for meal service.
• Maintain stock of condiments.
• Must submit a weekly tip report.
• Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Eighteen (18) years of age.

Other:

Must obtain non-gaming license upon hire. Ability to handle diverse situations and/or people. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent guest service skills. Flexible availability; able to work any shifts including occasional short notice shifts. Excellent computer literacy.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach and lift up to thirty (30) pounds or more. Ability to carry up to twenty (20) pounds on a continual basis. Standing or walking for extended periods of time. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature and air quality. Potential hazards may include but not limited to: slipping and tripping.
