Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.Essential Functions:Work in an innovative environment, on significantly diverse assignments, and in collaborative team settings across all levelsParticipate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customersArchitect and develop embedded mission systems software applications on a real time operating systemBe a part of Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselinesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experienceExperience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deploymentExperience with at least two of the following programming or scripting languages: C, C++, and PythonFamiliar with Architecting, Designing, Implementing, Integrating, Verifying and Qualifying Safety-Critical Embedded Real Time Software running on various RTOS (VxWorks, Integrity, Real Time Embedded Linux).Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final U.S. adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the CompanyPreferred Qualifications:Strong understanding of C and C++ languages including templates, memory storage, and compiler/linkerAbility to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systemsExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementExperience with Agile Software Development, object-oriented architectures, designs, programming, debugging, and hardware-software integration and testing.Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, Code Quality, Static Analysis, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian tool suite, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, AND/OR JenkinsExperience with DOORs AND Software Requirement Specification Testing using Simulators, automated scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, AND/OR Bash.Experience with Static & Dynamic Code Analysis Tools and Fuzzing Tools such as: Coverity, Fortify, AND/OR SonarQubeExperience architecting, Designing, Modeling (Rhapsody or Cameo), Implementing, Maintaining, integrating, and Debugging OO C++ software running on Real-Time Operating systems such as: VxWorks, Integrity, AND/OR Real Time Embedded Linux.#YellowPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
