Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, overseeing patient assessment, treatment, and coordination of care. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure prompt, safe, and effective emergency services.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care according to established standards and protocols in the emergency setting.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately to maintain efficient workflow.
• Assess patient conditions promptly, analyzing data to identify urgent needs and prioritize interventions.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, evaluating outcomes and adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare personnel to coordinate seamless patient care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge instructions to promote recovery and safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license issued by the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications from approved vendors.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills.
