Value & Access Senior. Manager, Obesity and Related Conditions [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Value & Access Senior Manager, Obesity and Related Conditions based in the United States.

As a Value & Access Senior Manager, you will shape data-driven strategies that support patient access to innovative treatments for obesity and related conditions.
You will partner with cross-functional teams across value and access, payer marketing, pricing and contracting, market access, and commercial functions.
The role focuses on transforming complex healthcare and payer data into actionable insights that inform coverage, pricing, reimbursement, and affordability strategies.
You will develop advanced analytics, dashboards, and modeling capabilities to support launch readiness and ongoing market performance.
Your work will help identify payer barriers, employer opportunities, contracting dynamics, and patient access challenges within the evolving U.S. healthcare landscape.
You will operate in a highly collaborative, science-driven environment where analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and influence are essential.

Accountabilities:

• Develop and enhance payer-focused analyses, integrating findings into weekly new-to-brand and total prescription tracking to identify coverage trends, exclusions, and access barriers.
• Evaluate external data and partner capabilities to generate actionable insights into pricing, coverage, demand, affordability, and reimbursement dynamics.
• Build obesity-specific capabilities within contracting and deal-modeling platforms, incorporating relevant market data and analogues to strengthen pricing and contracting decisions.
• Design employer segmentation and targeting analyses by triangulating multiple primary and secondary data sources, including payer, claims, and market datasets.
• Develop employer-specific modeling capabilities to support direct employer contracting strategies and identify opportunities within the reimbursed market.
• Develop dynamic patient access and copay support analytics, including analysis of the interaction between covered and cash-pay channels.
• Partner with payer marketing, pricing and contracting, market access, and brand marketing teams to define, prioritize, and execute an analytics and insights agenda.
• Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations that inform value, access, coverage, reimbursement, pricing, and contracting strategies.
• Monitor and diagnose payer obstacles and market access challenges, helping stakeholders understand their potential impact on business and patient outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources, including medical and pharmacy claims, prescription data, outlet data, and payer coverage datasets.
• Contribute to launch readiness and strategic planning for new products or indications within obesity and related conditions.
• Influence cross-functional decision-making by communicating analytical findings clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with at least 4 years, Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years, Associate's degree with at least 10 years, or high school diploma/GED with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of healthcare experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, healthcare sector, and/or strategy consulting, with demonstrated expertise in coverage, access, and reimbursement.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare and payer environment, including PBM account structures, formularies, contracting processes, and reimbursement dynamics.
• Experience working with pharmacy benefit data and pharmaceutical market analytics.
• Familiarity with medical and pharmacy claims, prescription, outlet, and payer coverage datasets and their application to business analysis.
• Experience in pricing and contracting, direct payer engagement, value marketing, or market access is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting new product or indication launches, particularly within cardiometabolic disease, obesity, or related therapeutic areas, is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous or loosely defined business questions.
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources, identify meaningful patterns, and translate complex information into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to connect analytics to commercial and market access objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence to influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels.
• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively with different personalities, perspectives, and levels of seniority.
• Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environments while maintaining a pragmatic, execution-focused approach.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across global and U.S. functions.
